The Standard Spa, Miami Beach: Our Go-To Escape in the Neighborhood
One of the best things about living in Miami Beach is having The Standard Spa just a short walk from home. It’s our favorite spot to recharge whether we’re spending a full day at the spa and pool or just stopping by for sunset drinks with friends. It’s casual, stylish, and effortlessly relaxing in that way only The Standard can pull off.

Even though we live nearby, a day at The Standard feels like a true getaway. Tucked away on Belle Isle, surrounded by water and palm trees, it’s calm and quiet without ever feeling boring. The spa is low-key luxe, more about healing and unwinding than flashy amenities. We love the Turkish-style hammam, the outdoor soaking tubs, and the sound bath sessions. You can book treatments, or just get a day pass to access the spa and pool, which is often what we do.
Poolside at Its Best
The pool area is iconic with loungers facing the bay, oversized daybeds, and just enough breeze to keep things comfortable. The vibe is mellow and grown-up, with great people-watching and chilled-out music. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you lose track of the day (in the best way).
We’ve spent full afternoons here reading, swimming, sipping something cold, and never feeling like we needed to be anywhere else.

Whenever friends or family come to visit, we make a point to bring them to Lido Bayside, The Standard’s waterfront restaurant. It’s got that perfect Miami setting: string lights, views of the bay, boats cruising by, and the kind of golden-hour glow that makes everything feel like a movie. The cocktails are fresh and well-balanced, the menu leans Mediterranean and plant-forward, and the vibe is equal parts laid-back and stylish.
Favorites include the grilled branzino, mezze platters, and the seasonal spritzes. You don’t have to be a spa guest to dine at Lido, which makes it an easy go-to for special dinners or casual meetups.
